Welcome to Romanceopoly, below you will find details of how we use any personal information we collect from you, including and who – if anyone – we will share this with.
If you have any questions that aren’t answered below, or you just want clarification please don’t hesitate to contact us on the below details:
To add you to Romanceopolys’ mailing list we will ask you to enter your email address when you subscribe to the mailing list. Romanceopoly will never add a user to the mailing list themselves, instead a user must actively sign up.
We collect your personal information with your consent and it will be used solely for sending you challenge information and announcements, on a monthly basis.
Your information will never be sold, rented or shared with any other third party.
You can unsubscribe from the mailing list by using the “Unsubscribe” option on the bottom of your newsletter or contacting us directly.
When you comment on Romanceopoly you must enter your name and email address. You can also enter your website; however, this is non-mandatory. This is so we are able to reply to any comments you make. It also prevents Romanceopoly from getting spammed out of existence!
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely on our server. We collect your personal information with your consent and it will be used solely for the purposes of viewing and replying to your comment. Your information will never be sold, rented or shared with any third party.
Visitor comments will also be checked through an automated spam detection service (Akismet). You can see how the data is processed here.
If you wish for any of your comments to be deleted, please contact us at email@example.com with the subject line: Delete Comments.
Romanceopoly offers some giveaways throughout the year. Sometimes these are entered by posting on your social media accounts and using a hashtag. We don’t collect any personal information by you entering the giveaways as the entries are on your account.
Some giveaways are sponsored by a third party (publisher). When this is the case it will be stated in the giveaway so you are aware before entering. We will share the winner(s) information only with the third party. This will be for the purpose of collecting the prize.
If you are a winner, you will be first contacted via the social media account you used to enter and then we will ask you for further personal information such as a mailing address so we can send you the prize. Once you have confirmed you have received your prize or after 3 months has passed whichever is first, this information will be deleted.
By entering the giveaways you are giving Romanceopoly or when applicable the third party consent to contact you only as described above.
If you wish to have your details deleted before the time frame stated above, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Delete Giveaway Data.
When clicking on affiliate links (book recommendations, for example) this will redirect you off Romanceopoly to a vendor – for example Amazon.com, iBooks. If you purchase a product from the vendor, this will result in Romanceopoly getting a small commission with any of those vendors or Reward Style LTK. We occasionally also have sponsored content or specific promotions we participate in to promote products and/or services that we believe in and that would be of interest to our audience. In all of these cases, this is clearly marked at the beginning of the post, so you are aware that when you click on a product and make a purchase, we will receive a small commission.
All purchases are anonymous and although we can view what has been purchased in a given time period, we cannot see who purchased it, nor do we store this information on our servers. The vendor keeps all the data and all personal details anonymous from Romanceopoly.

In accordance with the current FTC disclosure rules for bloggers and reviewers, the books you see reviewed on our channels/blogs are either purchased by us or are obtained through NetGalley, Edelweiss, or directly from the author or publisher in some other form in an exchange for an honest review. This will be clearly stated on the review when we’ve received a free copy for review.
