Romanceopoly Reading Challenge
Whether you are an old hand with romance or you are new to the genre, we thought this would be a fantastic way to discover new books and authors and catch up on things that have been languishing on the TBR. We wanted to create a reading challenge that was visual, interactive and fun but easy to dive into. Thus Romanceopoly was born! Join us for our third year in 2023, and think of us like your book club with a twist.
The origins of the Romanceopoly Reading Challenge
The Romanceopoly Reading Challenge was officially born in 2019 but it was the evolution of a romance reading challenge we ran for years at Under the Covers Book Blog to help encourage readers to expand their reading tastes and maybe try something they hadn’t read before.
This was originally called the Romance Roundabout Challenge. But in 2019 Suzanne and Francesca came up with the idea of making it a bit more fun and playing a game of Monopoly with reading prompts. We ran the Romanceopoly challenge for 2 years, we went on a 2 year hiatus because life just got a bit too hectic due to the pandemic. What a crazy time, right?
But we are extremely excited that Romanceopoly is back! With all new prompts and with the slight modification that there are NO dated challenges. You do this completely at your own pace. No seasonal dates, although we still have seasonal reading. No mystery challenges to be announced. And no social media challenges either.
We are going for a more laid back approach and hope that you join us for what we expect will be an awesome year of romance reading!
